de waarnemingen blijven lang constant, gaan dan even omhoog, blijven dan terug lang constant, enz. Deze constantheden zorgen voor weinig afwisseling in de grafiek... Dit kan misschien minder interessant zijn...

De grafiek over sigaretten bevat een duidelijke stijgende trend en is dus een goede grafiek. De drie andere tijdreeksen bevatten een plotse daling. Als deze daling te verklaren valt, zijn het goede tijdreeksen.

Dit zijn goede tijdreeksen, de periodiciteit is lang genoeg... Er is een duidelijk stijgende trend.
