De door de student perfect gemaakte grafiek leert ons dat er een aantal zeer sterke uitschieters zijn in deze gegevensreeks. Voornamelijk in het begin, maar ook aan het einde volgen de waarnemingen niet meer het gewenste patroon. Dit gewenste patroon ziet men wel in het middelste deel van de waarnemingen. Hier benader de werkelijk situatie zeer goed de normale situatie. Aangezien het merendeel van de waarnemingen dit laatste patroon volgen, kan men hier toch spreken van gegevens die (bijna) normaal verdeeld zijn.
