De student gebruikt een juiste techniek. Hij merkt hier terecht op dat de notches van de mediaan en het gemiddelde elkaar niet overlappen (bijgevolg niet aan elkaar gelijk zijn).

Dit kon je ook nog opmerken door gebruik te maken van het histogram. Dan zag je duidelijk dat er een scheve verdeling was.

GELIEVE DE BOVENSTAANDE TEKST TE NEGEREN (VERGIST VAN FORUM)

Hier kijkt de student naar de boxplots (periodic subseries), en merkt correct op dat de notches van de boxplots elkaar overlappen (er is dus geen verschil). Er is dus geen enkele maand waar de mediaan significant hoger of lager ligt. Bijgevolg kunnen we dus niet spreken van seizoensgebondenheid. Wanneer dit wel zou is, dan zullen we zien dat bepaalde boxplots veel hoger liggen.
