AR: de eerste 4 staafjes duiden op een langzaam dalend patroon (1e staafje op lag 0 moet je geen rekening met houden) voor de orde moet je naar de PACF zien: het is van orde 3, de eerste 3 lags komen boven het betrouwbaarheidsinteval . het derde staafje juist niet, maar wel bijna , je moet in acht nemen dat de grafieken waarmee je moet vergelijken, theoretische modellen zijn, dus de tijdreeksen in het echt leven zullen daar nooit 100% met overeenkomen. Er is geen seizoenale AR proces: de ACF heeft geen hoge waarden op lag 12;24,36…
MA: voor dit te herkennen moet je naar de PACF kijken er is geen overeenkomst, wel is er een SMA er zijn verhoogde waarden op lag 12,24,36

Je had hier iets vollediger kunnen zijn in het beantwoorden van deze vraag. De ACF grafiek die we bekomen door het ingeven van de waarden van de modelvergelijking toont ons een verloop dat aansluit bij dat van een AR proces. Indien we het eerste staafje van onze ACF uitrekken is dit verloop bijna exact gelijk aan dat van het AR proces.

Als we kijken naar de PACF grafiek kunnen we nagaan hoeveel coëfficiënten significant zijn. Hier is duidelijk dat enkel de eerste 2 staafjes significant verschillend zijn van 0. Maar in dit geval ligt het derde staafje zo dicht bij de bovenste grens van het betrouwbaarheidsinterval dat we deze ook een beetje mogen uitrekken. Zo bekomen we 3 staafjes die significant verschillend zijn van 0. Hieruit volgt dat we te maken hebben met een AR(3) proces, met gevolg dat p gelijk zal zijn aan 3. Er is in dit geval geen seizoenaal patroon aanwezig dus hebben we niet te maken met een seizoenaal AR proces. P is bijgevolg gelijk aan 0.

Verder kunnen we besluiten dat de ACF niet lijkt op één van de 2 mogelijke patronen van een MA proces. Hieruit volgt dat q gelijk zal zijn aan 0.
Om te kijken over welke orde het hier gaat kijken we naar de PACF. In dit geval komt de PACF overeen met dat van een MA(1) proces. Q is bijgevolg gelijk aan 1.

Besluit: d=1, D=1, p=3, p=0, q=0, Q=1
