De grafiek van het Raw Periodogram moeten we als volg interpreteren.

De frequentie vinden we terug op de x-as, deze varieert tussen 0.0 en 0.5. Een lage frequentie gaat gepaard met een lange periode en omgekeerd. Op de y-as vinden we de sterkte van de aanwezigheid terug.

We kunnen uit deze grafiek afleiden dat al de hoge waarden op de y-as terug te vinden zijn bij een zeer lage frequentie, dit wil zeggen dat er een lange termijn aanwezig is. Dit noemt men een trage evolutie of een LT trend.

Als we nu de grafiek van het Cumulative Periodogram bekijken dan valt op dat de trend links spectaculair stijgt tot ongeveer 70%. De volgende stelling geldt in de meeste gevallen:
=> -Als de beweging zich situeert in de linker bovenhelft is het meestal een AR proces. Omdat dit proces goed is in het modelleren van korte frequenties.
-Situeert het zich echter in de rechter onderhelft is het meestal zo dat het gaat over een MA proces omdat deze het best werkt met een zeer schommelende beweging.

We kunnen dus besluiten dat we hier te maken hebben met een AR proces.

Door nu d & D beide op 1 te zetten halen we de LT trend en de seizoenaliteit uit onze reeks. Dit zien we nu ook in de bekomen grafieken. Toch is er nog een golfbeweging met redelijk lange schommeling aanwezig, dit noemen we conjunctuur.

We zien bij de grafiek van het cumulative periodogral toch nog een kleine afwijking naar links boven, dit verwijst ook weer naar een AR proces.
