Uw conclusie die u maakt klopt niet. De trend is hieruit niet af te leiden omdat de kans dat de trend positief of negatief is ook niet te voorspellen is.

De excess of heads grafiek varieert dus per herproductie maar de proportion of heads grafiek minder. De laatste laat zien dat de waarschijnlijkheid van 50% bij meerdere tosses steeds aannemelijker wordt (naar de 0,5-lijn neigt).
Als voorbeeld kan hier een casino worden genoemd. Deze spelen in op het feit dat de kans op winst oneven verdeeld is (bijvoorbeeld 70%/30%). Op lange termijn zal het casino de verdeling van de inleg in winst ontvangen, terwijl het op korte termijn nog wel eens geld zal verliezen.
