De stippellijnen op de grafiek stellen idd het 95%-betrouwbaarheidsinterval voor. Alle autocorrelaties zijn significant verschillend van 0, omdat alle autocorrelaties buiten het betrouwbaarheidsinterval vallen. Dit kan geen toeval zijn en wijst dus op een fundamentele eigenschap. Er is duidelijk een dalend patroon te zien wat typisch is voor een stochastische trend op lange termijn. Je kan deze trend verwijderen door het gebruik van differentiatie.
